The Electric Forest lineup is finally upon us. One could say that the EForest lineup is the most anticipated lineup of the year. The Michigan based music festival has grown exponentially in the few years that it has been around. It’s central location, impressive lineups, and unique venue make it an experience to never forget. The art installations and venue mixed together create something that is completely unimaginable. From the illuminated trees, reality-defying artwork, and endless hammock hangouts the setting is simply magical. The beauty of the forest lies within the fact that everyone creates their own adventure.
Due to the rise in ticket sales and popularity, many die hard fans of the festival were becoming discouraged that the lineup this year would take a turn for the worse. Based off of the positive responses on social networking websites, phase one has seemed to prove them wrong. The headliners this year include Bassnectar, Skrillex, Kaskade, Flume, Big Gigantic, and, of course the forest wouldn’t be the forest without The String Cheese Incident. The great thing about the music at the forest is that it is diverse. This year, there seems to be a wonderful balance of electronic music and jam/rock alternative. From the funky basslines and upbeat horns in the band Lettuce to the intense bassdrops of Datsik, this year’s Electric Forest is one for the books! Stay tuned for updates on phase two.
