Dirty Vegas – Days Go By [Throwback Thursday]

I can never listen to this song and not automatically think of the car commercial that helped bring this British trio to fame. There is something about how this commercial and this song effected me that has always stuck with me. Plus, pop locking. For those who want to reminisce with me:

This simple house beat reminds me of a time where electronic music wasn’t as except as it is today but you’d dance like crazy when it came on in a club. I’ve always thought the vocals to this track were superb and compliment the flow of the track. ‘Days Go By’ became an instant hit in 2002, peaking at #14 in the US Billboard. Dirty Vegas would later go on to win a Grammy, achieving Best Dance Recording for ‘Days Go By’. Dirty Vegas is one of those artists whom one would call a one hit wonder never receiving the radio success again they accomplished after the release of this track. That doesn’t mean however that is the last we’ve heard from them. In 2011 they released their third album, ‘Electric Love’.
