In anticipation of their forthcoming album, Ice on the Dune (to be released on June 18th) Empire of the Sun has just released their new remix album for their track titled Alive TODAY, May 28th on iTunes.What happens when you fuse electric-alternative-synth-pop Australian duo Empire of the Sun with artists like Zedd, David Guetta, M4sonic, and Matt Zo? ‘Pure stellar magic’ is pretty much the best way to describe it.
The original track, Alive, is already an electrified feel-good big beat slurry worded tune. So when someone takes it and meshes it with David Guetta for instance, it creates this hypnotizing, enticing trance-y journey. When it’s perfectly matched with Matt Zo’s ideas of what is what, it is turned into a fucking intense tech-house tingly sensation, reminiscent of old school Matt Zo. Zedd’s rendition is obviously awesome electro-fied steeziness. Altogether, this is a HUGE release, and I’m sure that Ice on the Dune will be even bigger.
