NiTGRiT has thrown down a banger once again, this time retro-flavored with full-bodied intensity. If you’re not familiar with NiTGRiT, he’s just a regular guy that regularly creates exceptional grimey-azz bass that will make you grind your teeth while still maintaining distinctive melodies and harmonies at the same time. He took Jimmy Ruffin’s 1966 mega-hit song, “What Becomes of the Brokenhearted?” and turns it into a deeper, darker, more intense track than could have even been imagined in the 60’s. I absolutely love it despite it’s melancholy tone. The lyrics set the tone of the song, while NiTGRiT works his magic and takes it to another whole level.
