It’s been about 5 months since the duo from Sacremento, CA, Hippie Sabotage, released new singles. The two brothers, Kevin and Jeff, have noticeably been busy touring around the world and playing sold out shows. For a few months now, their fans have been posting on social media calling for a new song under a media trend #jeffdropthesong. On June 5th, Hippie Sabotage gave four names of songs they planned on dropping this summer: Find Me, Trust Nobody, Nightrider, and Ego Death. It is unclear which song the media trend is directed towards but even Hippie Sabotage caught on the wave and began promoting this mystery song under the hashtag.

Last week, Hippie Sabotage released two out of those four songs: Find Me and Trust Nobody (Available on SoundCloud, Apple Music, and Spotify). The songs lived up to the hype as they have the classic Hippie Sabotage style that their fans love to hear. Trust Nobody rides with deep bass and a slow tempo that flows with every spoken word. Find Me has a great mix between Jeff’s beautiful guitar melodies and an upbeat bass. The two songs were said by the group to hold greater meaning on their struggles throughout life. When listening close to the lyrics you can learn a lot about their thoughts that revolve around their life. There is no doubt the two brother’s are artistically talented. If you are not familiar with the group these two songs are a great embodiment of their stylized work. We look forward to the drop of Nightrider and Ego Death! #hippiesummer
