Fourteen tracks, seven features (DMX, Pusha T, J.I.D., Tyler, The Creator, Burna Boy, GLC, James Blake), and one pencil feeling hella existential. Ladies and gentlemen, listen one, twice, thrice. Thirty-five minutes to get nice. Then seventy. Then an hour and forty-five. Is it too readily questioning the severance of faith in those who are presently holding middle fingers up to what is heavenly? Is HE Real? IDK. But this s*** is.

Let me just say, bluntly, I have bumped IDK for my fair share of revolutions around the sun and Is He Real made my jaw drop. In one word, phenomenal. To be clear, I’m not hinting at lack of talent, he has playful flow and incredible word play. But, this project could’ve been a collab between Kendrick and Frank Ocean. The cadence, ideas, and vibrations are so hot, they’re criminal. Every feature, every instrumental, every topic meshed like Kanye and Kanye. No spoilers, but IDK‘s visionary theme is a major question. His album name reference to God is clear and concise, often swinging back and forth between the legitimacy of YHWH. Simple, yet brilliantly orchestrated. I suppose its near impossible to overthink if you don’t question what you’re thinking.

Congratulations IDK, killed it! Only going to get bigger, badder, and more cheddar as the hands tick on. Stoked for whats to come.

As usual,

Peace, love, and chicken grease!
