This dope-a-lish-uhhhh steeze may have been released hot n’ fresh today (FREE DOWNLOAD), but it has been simmering on the stove in its own glorious-ness since 2010…and yes, the full-bodied flavor flows throughout this whole slab o’ meat.

Wick-it the Instigator (Nashville, TN) has released a dirty-south gangsta full-length mix (hour an a half long!!!) that he describes as a “retrospect of my music from the past three years,” as well as FOUR “bonus-goodies” that are previously COMPLETELY UNRELEASED, until now of course. This here OG mix is comprised of a healthy serving of 33 tracks – and it is steezy as fuck. The vast majority of tracks are original Wick-it remixes/edits/collabs, with the exception of two tracks by Damage and Psymbionic, respectively.

Wick-it has been ‘keeping heads rangin” by blending his jedi-master turntablism skills with hip-hop since 2004, making him a bonafide seasoned vet. In the past three years, his sound has metamorphosed into the beautiful creature that it is today — expert mash-ups of gangsta hip-hop with dubstep, drumstep, and/or trap, creating a scrumptious delicacy out of every track.

He also regularly incorporates a massive selection of wildly creative samples from here, there, and everywhere. Example samples span anywhere from Gucci Mane to Bone Thugs to Ace of Bass. Spoken lines from the likes of Anchorman’s Ron Burgundy to Quentin Tarantino’s Grindhouse Basterds can be frequently observed. He definitely picks up the slack for those who have been unsuccessful in creating an individual, signature sound with such frequent use of samples. Mash-ups definitely have the tendency to be unnecessarily annoying. Wick-it the Instigator‘s sounds are anything but.
